I'm starting an internship at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and would like to find a place in the 63108 zip code. I have a small dog and would like to have a W/D in the apt or connections in the apt. I would like to stay under $600...does anyone know of a place that meets these requirements and is in a safe neighborhood? THANKS!

I've been looking through the free ads online like rent.com and forrent.com etc. But there appears to be alot more unlisted. I'm trying to get a feel for the area and where to live before I get down there so my search time can be shorter. Any former Wash U students out there with advice? Thanks!

Try The Chesterfield at the corner of Union and Waterman!

I don't know about that area of STL, check out the free apartment finders guide in print or apartment finding websites. However, if you have a car, I would live out at the georgetown apartments in Shrewsbury. They are awesome places for the money. I lived there while I was in college and loved it, I live in Philly now and truly appreciate how great that apartment was. I also lived out at Hampton Gardens on hampton avenue. They were pretty nice too and closer to the city. They were reasonably priced too. The last place is going to be above your budget but might be doable with 1 or 2 roommates, it's the apartments right next to the arch. You can't beat the view and location there! I always regretted not living there. Good luck to you.

Try the Villages of Wyncrest in University city. They've got nice units, allow dogs, and have good rates. Plus, it's right on I-170, and maybe a 15-minute drive from BJC.
