I am not sure what you are referring to? If I recall correctly England WON 3 games in the World Cup (yes the one this year!) so they are capable of winning games you patronising sod!
If you mean will they ever win the World Cup - I don't know...there was so much hype & expectation this time purely based on Sven, Beckham & Co & the British Media adamantly telling the British Public that they could do it that everyone got carried away and believed it!!! When will they ever learn? This happens every 4 years but still no progression, in 3-4 years we will have a better picture to judge if England will win the World Cup but for now all you can do is speculate.
And NO I didn't enjoy watching the final on TV - well I did until Zidane got sent off. I wanted France to win and we know that story. Enough said!

YES but only when the following happens:
(1) attitude of the payers changes -- when they are able to say "we lost because we had a crap team" and not because "our manager is no good". How many different managers has England had.... and they still have not won anything in 45 years. They seldom go far in WCs and Euros.
(2) when the press changes too -- the press in England convince the population that they had already won the WC before it even started. And because that did not happen the press tried to incite its readers to violence by blaming their opponents Portugal of cheating. - HOW did the Portugal team cheat !!!???? When they defended all those penalties ? By beating countries that England would not stand a chance of winning like Mexico and Holland ? Can you see their kind of press and their attitude ?
It is so childish... one radio station actually said something like "WELL, IF WE WIN AGAINST PORTUGAL AND THEN AGAINST xxxxx AND DO NOT DRAW WITH yyyyy.... WE WILL WIN THE WORLD CUP !!!!" -- yeah, and if my bicycle had four wheels it would be a car but unfortunately it is has only 2 wheels !!!
The press is England's worse enemy !!

If they put in the effort, they would have as much chance as anyone else. The biggest problem now is that English football is overrun by glamour rather than talent so you could be the best player in the world but not get chosen for the world cup squad because you have a spot and you're not 21 and you don't have a shop-a-holic girlfriend, etc.

Lets face it everybody except Italy because they just won it and Brazil because they have won it 5 times are living on past glory. Lola Argentina last won it 20 years ago Germany 16 years ago. Also only 7 countries have ever won the world cup so unless you are from Uruguay, Brazil, Argentina, Germany, Italy, England or France shut up losers.

Win a game? they won several games in the world cup. They have a lot of individual talent, but I think their problem was succesfully incorporating all of that individual talent into a team unit.
