over time the hole will close up. This happened to a bunch of my friends who didn't put their earrings back in for about 3 years. As long as you keep the earrings in every once in a while (maybe 2 days every week) they most likely won't close up. I've had mine pierced for about 7 years and the longer you have them in, the less chance the hole will probably close up.

Eventually, probably. If your scars heal up quickly and well, a piercing will close up quickly, too. But there's such a wide range. Some guys I know still have a hole in their ear a couple years after taking the earring out to look "respectable"; if I go a week without earrings, I'll have to re-pierce.

If they are completely healed the hole won't heal up completely. I have done that, for several years I didn't wear earrings, and sometimes the skin on the back side of the ear will cover the hole, but it's not a problem to just push the earring through that thin layer.

Yes it could close a bit in 3 weeks, or you may face some problem if you leave your ears free of ear rings for that long.

i replaced into 11 when I have been given my first piercings achieved. and then i replaced into 27 and pregnant when I have been given my 2d set achieved. i remembered the discomfort from whilst i replaced into 11- i almost did no longer have the 2d hollow made, yet i could begged for years to get them achieved. And properly, discomfort is plenty greater 'in attitude' once you're older. lol. so yeah it injury, yet i knew it wasn't going to kill me. From my examine approximately this, i desperate to pierce my daughter's ears whilst she replaced into 4 months previous. this form she replaced into at an age the place i ought to safeguard them, and she or he could no longer mess with them. additionally, the holes stay open greater effective whilst they are achieved at a youthful age. She wont remember the discomfort of them, and she or he wont be begging me to get it achieved whilst she's 3, 8 or 11. And if she would not desire to placed on jewelry whilst she's older, she wont could desire to. (tho she loves purple, and horses, and jewelry lol). you ought to tell her that when she starts college she will have them achieved, or whilst she starts severe college. tell her it somewhat is a particular component and so which you're able to shop it for a particular time. i does no longer desire to pierce a three three hundred and sixty 5 days olds ears. it style of feels volatile with them having the flexibility to the touch them, and them getting greater grubby than a toddler gets.
