I am disabled, stage 3 lung cancer, but need an apartment.

no...but, you would no longer qualify for low income as long as that money was available to you they would probably raise your rent, but there is a cap to that, they can't make you pay 30% of your money if you don't qualify for low income. minnesota is the highest paying welfare state in the nation, so the guildelines are probably a little more lax. in many states you are not able to have more than $2000 in cash and assets in order to qualify for any type of assistance.

As u mentioned ur disability, I think u will have to pay a bit less...as ur corrospoding law allows

inheritance is not income, but is asset so probably would disqualify you from some assistance, but not social security disablity
