I used Myltanta. It worked wonders. It is safe to use (according to my Dr.) and I even carried it around in my purse with me daily that is how bad my heartburn was each day.

Good luck and use it. It works Really

Papapya (check with your doctor first), avoid the foods that cause the heartburn, take tums (check with doctor and don't take more then the recommended dose), or drink milk (I found that 2% does better then 1% or skim for heartburn).

That is all the things I did while I was pregnant and I actually have acid reflux, all of the above still help.

Tums work great but you have to limit how many you take while pregnant. Your doctor can tell you how many are safe. Don't take milk though!! It may help the moment you take it, but dairy products are a major source of heartburn. It will make it worse in the long run.

Tums, Pepto, Mylanta, you can also go to the local pharmacy and ask them they can help. Yeah heartburn totally sucks! Stay away from the foods that tare you up as much as possible although with me it anything I put in my mounth. I eat ice to calm it down when nothing else seems to work. Good luck!

I had tremendous heartburn and acid reflux thru all three of my pregnancies . . . the only thing that worked for me was mixing a 1/4 tsp. of baking SODA into a glass of water and drinking it .. . it would make me burp a few times but it would cut the acid almost immediately . . .

Tums and rolaids! I had HORRIBLE heartburn the whole time I was pregnant. You can also take mylanta, but I didn't like it, it tasted gross.

My favorite is the rolaids soft chews, they taste pretty good, and the Tums Smoothies - those are awesome! They taste like candy. :o)

I hope that helps! It helped me!

bless your heart! I had heartburn the entire time! I used Mylanta. I also found that eating more often helped prevent it from getting too bad.

Try a glass of really cold milk, that usually does the trick for me and I've heard the same thing from parents/expectant mothers too.
