what is with these young teens and even women in their early twenties. how can they go to school and not learn how their bodies work. mostly their reproductive system.. they offer sex ed to 4th and 5th grade now since kids have sex so much younger take the class and pay attention i am getting so tired of can i get pregnant if i finger myself after i touched my bfs penis or i had sex during my period can i get pregnant. or what are my safe days to have sex so i dont have to use a condom but i dont want to get pregnant either. geez if your this uninformed maybe your too young for sex. ask your parents not a group of strangers. does this annoy any one else.

Im right there with you. its way sad and scary to see soooo many teens with lack of knowledge of their own bodies and no communication with their parents at all, and sooo soooo many having sex! My God at 13 i had no idea what sex even was! I never would have dreamed of doing it so young! They need to build a solid relationship with their parents BUT some of that is the parents fault too! I honestly can say if I see a question that calls out to me- I will try to answer it for them to the best of my ability hoping I can help them in some small way. Alot of them feel they have nowhere else to turn and they would rather ask a stranger than someone they do know! So they r not embarrassed! So i do try to help them when I can but I do agree with you- its so sad and heartbreaking to see soo many teens in this predicament! God help us all! They r our future!!!

My parents have NEVER talked to me about sex or anything related to that. They never spoke to me about dating or whatnot either (and I'm 15). But I learned from school. I think they started talking about puberty during end of 5th grade and 6th grade. Sex ed we had from 7-9 I believe. 9th went more in depth but 8th started with the whole STD talk. And I know what you mean. Some people ask the most idiotic questions. My sex ed class is just as stupid when they're asking questions. Can't they grow up? Be just a BIT more mature? Because the people who don't pay attention are the ones that end up being pregnant young without any form of protection and get STDs and HIV. And for the asking your parents thing, I can't really relate to that. I can't talk to my parents about anything other than school stuff. They're not exactly strict but they're not the kind of people you can talk to about this stuff. So I didn't know anything about sex or STDs till a bit later than others in my school.

I have noticed that as well Jenn. It seems every day this question appears "I had unprotected sex last night. Can I get pregnant?"

The short answer is Yes anytime you have unprotected sex you can get pregnant....etc etc etc. So yes it annoys me as well.

But what is bothersome more than the lack of information regarding thier bodies, is something you pointed out. The questions are coming from younger and younger teens and pre-teens. There was a youngster yesterday who is 13 and pregnant by a 27 year old cousin.

What is up with that.

But just remember when we were younger and didnt know any of this and we really didnt have a place to ask questions like this and get honest answers. We were too scared to talk to friends and family about such things and we never talked to strangers about it.
I find it refreshing that we can actually discuss sex in a more open way now than when i was growing up.

Actually in 8th grade we had sex ed for the whole year.In 9th and 10th grades we had sex ed for a third of the year. And we have a lot ofpregnant highschoolers walking around in our school and some middle schooler in middle school. We learned a bout he reproductive system in 6th grade. 4th and 5th grade is way to young and parents would probably complain to the school, In 8th grade we had to have a permession slip signed so we could stay in the classroom and learn about it. I think it is fine for the women in their early twenties to have kids My sister is 21 and just had twins.

GET OVER IT . IT IS NOT YOU SO DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT

alot of the questions are just people fooling around. Or some stupid hillbilly that sadly has excess to the internet

I'm annoyed by it also...i seen a question yesterday saying that she she was 16 weeks pregnant and didnt know her due date and all these other questions but that was here 2nd child.. like you said most places require sex ed in 5th grade( which i took it then) My mom never told me anything about sex or periods or anything like that I learned on my own by books or school councler...

I totally agree with you!! Some of these questions, they act as if they've been hit with the stupid stick!! and even if they haven't taken sex ed classes HELLOOOOO, there is such a thing called the INTERNET where they could research everyhting. If they aren't smart enought to do even that, then they need to keep their legs shut or keep in their pants!!!

Yeah, its pretty pathetic that these kids don't know what's going on six inches below their waist. I also think that the parents need to be the ones to open the dialogue, and not wait for the kids to come to them because chances are the kids wont
