It's a good friend's 40th bday party at my place, and it's very hot in the city where we live. There are about 50-60 guests, casual food, music, fun crowd, party starts at 9pm. Would you go for jeans and sexy halter top... or a little black dress?

I would wear a dress, not particularly black. A little white summer dress can do the trick also.

I would go for the little black dress, but it is very impotant that you don't look better then the b-day girl . Wearing jeans and a top simply don't go with the hole sexy night thing. That more for dinner at a little friday's or something. The little black dress would got great with some simple jewerly , little diamond earrings, and braclets. Just be chic!!!!

well it depends to me. What type of party-- are there ging t be a lot of highclass people there -- more of them wearing LBD's? or is it mre casual. If its a night l recommend something not overly sexy but sexy relaxed... that can be achieved by a dress.. not too short but one that accentuates your figure and bringsout your qualities-- i.e eyes hair legs... you can never go wrong with a dreesy halter top a nice pair of jeans and heels though.... always looks good

I would go for jeans and a cute top! However, you should dress the outfit up, maybe wear dark wash jeans and a fancy but casual shirt with sexy stilettos. Like these outfits:

A second idea is try a casual but flirty dress. Instead of wearing a little black dress try a sexy patterned dress or a neutral low cut dress with tons of jewlery.
(wear with tons of cute necklaces and bracelets and wedges)

How about a nice white bra,thong, garter set, tan stockings, simlple yet casual black skirt to just above the knee, white blouse or one of color and 4" black heels dressy yet casual..

Actually neither. I'd go for the look of the capri leggings with a short mini skirt. I think it looks hot to match a funky pair of leggings with a shirt. Flat shoes to match.

if you go during the day, a halter top would be really cute especially if it was colorful. but if you're going at night i say LBD all the way!!!
