there r many kinds of "smartness" . IQ hv many dimensions.no real meaning of such comparison..but just think world's smartest person is woman !!
According to Guiness Book of Records, the smartest person in the world is Marilyn vos Savant who scored IQ 228 Terman as a 10 year old. This would, according to recent research, correspond to about IQ 185 at adult age. That score is, at least, surpassed by the chess player Bobby Fisher (187).
No one knows who is the smartest person that ever lived, that is for sure. But some psychologists believe that William James Sidis reached the maximum capacity possible for a human. The same may apply for eg., the seer of visions, Emanuel Swedenborg, who was so intelligent that he turned mad in the later part of his life.
In the Buzan's Book of Mental World Records, the highest IQ score ever attained is assigned to the history's greatest universal genius Leonardo da Vinci. The estimate is a nearly unbelievable adult IQ of 220 St-Bin!

I'm sorry, but this is somehow an absurd question. Men and women are equal and both genders have different strongpoints in different areas.

well definitely not equals... for many reasons... one imp factor is the way we have evolved over decades... the basic thg being that the anatomy of the 2 sexes is quite diff. the composition of grey n white matter in the brain also differs a lot. u shud read books like men r from mars women from venus, or why 'men dont listen and women cant read maps' by dr. allan pease and barbara pease, they have interesting answers to all ur ques. u jus cannot say one is better thn the other, each is a master in its own field.. its jus the genetic makeup, the physiological chgs that make a man a man and a woman a woman. women are better at communicative skills while men are more inclined to mathematical reasoning and logic. diff centers in the brain are developed accordingly in males and females, which explains y they behave so. u should go in for that book i told of. its a good one. will have al ur doubts cleared.

Technically, neither gender is smarter. It's just that Women are more inclined to Right brain thinking (creativity and emotion), and men are more Left brained (problem solving and logic). I'm not saying that in some instances these roles are reversed, because they are a lot of the time. That's just what most scientists who've tried to answer have concluded.

I think there are equal amounts of dumbbutts in both sexes. Strongpoints for men would be, physically stronger, and their ability to be direct, (women tend to sugar coat things)
Strong points for women would be sensitivity and nurturing.

It has been said that while women and men both often arrive at the same answer, men use algebra to get theirs, and women use geometry. Men are smarter at some things, and women at others. A lot depends on how they were raised and trained more than on what sex they are, though

Oh, gee, now that's not an argument starter! I'd say it has to depend on what type of exposure the person had to develop their potential, but the potential is about equal in both. After all, the gene which determines intelligence is not on the same chromosome as the one that determines sex.

Men are smarter in mechanical areas such as fixing cars and other things done usually by males. Women are stronger in the emotional areas such as recalling large parts from emotional occasions such as weddings, dates, vacations, etc while men only recall the gist of those events, or so I heard

I resist generalizing, but several studies show that while ther are many intelligent women, males are overrepresented at the top AND the bottom of the intellectual bell curve. Men are the smartest of the smart, AND the dumbest of the dumb.

I honestly think they are equal but in diffeerent areas, men know things that women dont and women as well I think they are equally cruel and in the wrong as well just all in different catagories, if ya think about it you will realize how much this is true.
