I am trying to download a work off Early English books online. Does anyone know a password to get in if your not on a university campus, or would someone be nice enough to go on and save it as a pdf or zip and send it to me? The work is by Bourne, William 1583 - Title is Inventions or Devices (however the misspelled original title is: Inuentions or deuises [electronic resource] : Very necessary for all generalles and captaines, or leaders of men, as wel be sea as by land: written by William Bourne. An. 1578 ). If someone could help me I would be very greatful. Thank you for your help. My e-mail is my name at yahoo.com

Interesting puzzle. I usually can find a lot of things online and after consulting my usual list of suspects I found that he existed and had written such, A Regiment for the Sea seemed most commonly mentioned, an early book on navigation (), but not finding the books, just references to Bourne and his books. His name shows up often in regard to submarines, having proposed one in 1578 (vectorsite link is just one of several available by common search). In a bulletin board they said that the Hakluyt Society had published Bourne's books but I didn't see them at the site (a lot of others from the time, though). Sorry.

Amazon will sell you the Arte of Shooting in Great Ordenaunce and used to have Treasure for Traveilers.

Hi louie, I got the same email the other day. I am also looking into the possibility of it being a fraud since I have not found any mention of the company (City Global Group) in any event, bid, or projects as I searched on the popular search engines. If it is indeed the "world's No. 1 choice for engineering, construction, and project management", then it should at least be mentioned in the constuction magazines, but I have not yet found any. One more thing, the email address of the sender is the following: UK CITY GLOBAL GROUPS . This is a free internet account from BT Yahoo which makes it more doubtful for an HR officer of a large company not to have their own internet account for security purposes. Further, the questioner they have attached asks for a very detailed information regarding your identity (where from, permanent address, country of origin, direct contact numbers) than on the skills that you can offer them.I do believe that this is a scam. Otherwise, and if they are really interested, they should at least spend some bucks calling you directly (since they have your contact details from monstergulf) and confirm your status.
