As much as I hate to say it, being a Cards fan, the Braves have kicked the Cards @ss in the last 2 games. But, just because they are starting win, don't think that they'll pull off an 2005 Astros season. Their is no way that the Braves are going to win the division. First of all to win the division they will need to start learning how to close games out. Sure, when you have a 10 run lead you're probably going to win, but you can't rely on you're offense to produce like that every night. Until the Braves can prove that they can win close games, they don't have a chance

There is a good chance the Braves could come back, but it is a tough road. The Mets have a solid offense and decent pitching. Pedro isn't doing well, and that helps, but we need starting pitching.

Chipper appears to be back to normal, but something is wrong with Marcus Giles, Laroche is well below-average, and Francouer will never consistently hit until he starts taking a few pitches. McCann is doing a great job, but he is a catcher, and he will wear down with this weather.

All in all, I would say 11 games is too much, but don't forget the whupping we put on the 1993 Giants.

Dont count your chickens before they hatch. i'm a big Braves fan, but I'm also a realistic one. Let's focus on the wild card for now, and if we win the division, then great! We still need to be active at the deadline to improve the team as a whole. And dont forget that the Mets are still a pretty good ball club and arent exactly slumping right now. Dont get me wrong, I really hope youre right.

Yes, beware, it looks like the Braves aren't dead yet... this should make for a very good finish in September and October.
