Atom Heart Mother is a good listen and sometimes overlooked, lying in the shadow of other albums. It has a good mix of instrumental ism with even the single tracks like 'Fat old Sun', 'IF' 'Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast' sounding quite conceptual. Meddle is a classic, particularly 'Echos' and similar in construction to Atom in the sense that one side is taken up by a whole track. The soundtrack albums 'More' and 'Obscured by clouds' are also full musical narratives to tickle your Floydian taste buds.

Although a compilation: PULSE, the double CD, live from Earls Court makes a VERY good listening album.

Such a shame it's missing a few tracks that are on the laserdisc....

Don't forget Animals

Also, Piper at the Gates of Dawn (their first album).

Syd Barrett -- farewell and rest in peace! (1946–2006)

The Wall tells a great story although it is not exactly a favorite of mine. Try Umma Gumma
