while my guitar gently weeps--great guitar music

I'm taking your opportunity to add to my fav's I'd also like to add:

Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

Maybe sappy, but hopeful. When I hear that play, I feel the soul of the song, the message isn't lost. I thank a guy named Chris for bringing me to the Beatles music.

I like a few but these the lyrics to I am the Walrus are quite amusing Here are some -

"Oh I am the walrus. GOO GOO G’JOOB.
Sitting in an English garden waiting for the sun,
If the sun don’t come, you get a tan from
Standing in the English rain.
I am the eggman, oh, they are the eggmen -
Oh I am the walrus. G’JOOB, G’GOO, G’JOOB."

I have two favourites is that ok??

1. "And so I quit the police department and got myself a steady job" - She Came in through the Bathroom window.

I like that line, because its funny and sarcastic and slightly anti-establishment, suggesting that being a policeman is not a "steady job".

2.And don't you know that it's just you, hey, Jude, You'll do, the movement you need is on your shoulder"

I've always liked this, because the story behind it is so touching and sad, basically its Paul, telling John's son Julian, that its all gonna be ok (as his mum and dad have just split up) and that he has the strength to get through it, its like he's saying "Come on son, I know you have the strength to get through this"....lovely.

"All your life, you were only waiting for this moment to be free"
Blackbird
My kids sing that song all the time...makes me cry sometimes. Some people wait their whole lives for a touch of some kind of relief, freedom and never get it. It's just a beautfiful song.
