When I need to cross a busy street motorists will slow down and stop to wave me to cross. I really appreciate that whether I'm driving or walking. When I was working on the street and needed to lift a heavy metal cover, people passing by would offer to assist. When I was working in the city and had a throbbing headache and was so thirsty, a store owner invited me inside and gave me a cup of cold water. That last incident was years ago, but I'll never forget it.

I recieved a beautiful picture from a friend. She picked it out just for me. I thought that was nice. And yesterday, I gave another friend enough money to go to the dentist cause she was in such pain. Isn't it nice that we don't forget the nice things people do for us or we do for them? A smile, a hello, a gesture of opening a door for someone, offering a drink or food, aren't those the type of things we are supposed to do? Too bad more people don't do those things...it would make such a difference in our lives as a society & as individuals.

I gave a homeless guy five dollars the other day, I don't care what they spent it on; I hope it made him happy. Some one offered me a mint about two weeks ago, I thought that was nice of them.

The most recent one was this last night at work - two of my coworkers down the way made a big sign for me that said "Hi Beth" and held it up where I could see it. It really made me smile. It was totally random and unexpected. Thanks, Tony and Dianna.
