My boyfriend and I always fight about the chores. I feel like his maid and no matter how much I try to talk with him about it, I still come home and his dirty dishes are still on the table, the laundry is all over the floor, and the place is a mess. Any advice on how to get him to pitch in his share of chores?

Girlfriend....men are like kids, they think they need a reward for doing everything (sorry guys not to offend, but they do) For every chore he does, that's one night of sex he can get from you. But if that doesn't work....try not cooking....u can't have dirty dishes if you don't cook! Do your laudry (& kids if u have them) but not his.... and tell him until he can respect and appriciate the small things that you do....your going on a CHORE STRIKE! For every chore he does, you do one, until you get your point across!

Good Luck

Since he knows how you feel about this and he has the same behavior it means he doesn't care about your feelings. The next step for you is deciding how much you hate living like this and either stop arguing or leave. Personally if my husband acted this way I would be very hurt because it's like him saying I don't care enough about you or our home....I'm not changing....so you're just going to have to live with it. To me that's not a good relationship. Don't let anybody fool you...all men aren't like that.

If there's something I want my spouse to do, all I have to do is ask.

However, if your SO isn't doing it then, what you need to do is stop doing it FOR him. Do your own dishes, not his. Pick your clothing up, not his. Wash your clothes, not his. After a few days of him having no clean clothes, and realizing you won't do his dishes, he might actually do it himself.

I don't know. I do all the cooking, cleaning, trimming the hedges, weeding the flower beds, etc. When you find out let me know.

He doesn't care if the stuff gets done or how the house and yard look! Not doing it only gets on my nerves!

Tell him you'll watch porn with him and act out ANY scene if he does his chores for the week.

He'll do his chores...you'll have an awesome sex life.

Everyone wins.

I have the same problem. I leave his dirty laundry exactly where he left them, and won't pick it up. When all his cloths are dirty, he'll do 'his' laundry.

This is an example of a perpetual problem in a relationship. If one of you does not compromise at some point, then it will always be a problem.

I would just tell him to put back whatever he had taken!
This is the ost basic thing to do if he doesn't want to clean up the whole house.

Before leaving the house, leave a note:
"Honey, please remember to put your dishes away."
"Darling, could you put a load in the washer please, thanks, you're a sweetheart."
"Hey big guy, could you please take just 10 minutes to clean up the house a bit?"
If he does act, COMMEND, COMMEND, COMMEND!
If he does not act, sit him down and ask him if he married you just to have a maid.
