Perhaps some of you may think this is null and void but some psychiatrist believe that this kind of test help them understand their patients.

Question:
You and your family we`re riding along the open breeze blasting the sounds and having the time of your life.

Due to negligence, your dad forgot about the road and swerved into a tight turn and hit the barrier so hard it collapsed pulling the car into a ravine.

Here`s the difficult part.
The car is half way to falling into a dangerous pit, luckily, there was a slight bump on the rocks forcing the wheels to get stock in a temporary position but because of inbalance, only 2 can survive.

You are the only one hanging close to a nearby tree but letting go can be a bad decision besides that, one must hold the car breaks to prevent it from slipping along the cracks in the rocks.

The decision now lies to you, who would you save?

Your Mother
or....
Your Father

Saving one will leave you 35% chance of survival and 60% if you save yourself.

This is interesting!
One way to do it would be to save your mom while you are still hanging on to the tree (if I understood the description correctly) and dad is pressing on the car brakes. Then you ask dad to jump out and you get out of the car so the car falls away from you.
Another way would be to coordinate everything so that all of you can escape at the same instant thus there would be no imbalance. This could be tricky because it would require precise coordination amongst all three.
There has to be a way to save all three. On the flip side, remember all those movies in which no one is 'trained' to do stunts yet everyone manages to escape unharmed? Survival is a requirement not an option!!

i am a responsible person so i would never let such a crisis occur, but if this ever occurs then i would go to save my father becos a child needs his mother in his childhood to teach him the diff. betwen good and bad. while a child needs his father in his late yrs when he or she faces the world first hand without anyones support.
i wouldnt say that mom and dad carry a expiry date with them but i am only giving this answer from logical point of view

Jeez none of the above.

On the practical side, you are holding the car in place. Someone will come help.

On the detailed side, you can't save anyone else because you are holding a tree.

On the family side, it was Dad's screw up that got us here so come on mom.

I'm not exactly sure,I love my father ,but I haven't seen him ain years.I love my mom but we weren't getting along to tough.I guess I would find away to save them and let myself die.

On the plus side,My father would be paying attention to the road,or I'll yell at him.I worry alot.

Being that you didn't say there was any urgency in making a move although it obviously isn't a fun situation... One of us would dial 911 and get help to save us all ;)

It would be a really hard decision. I would have to say my Mother just because I am closer to her. I couldn't live without my Mom.

Could you put on the emergency break instead of holding it with a foot? Or put something in it's place?
