i accepted this guy yesterday and i did that cos i love him but now i can't go on because my mum does not like him and i do not want to go against my mother so what do i do cos one side of me likes him very much and the other side does not want to be with him so please help me.

you have to balance things i mean whats the reason of your mother that she doesn't like the guy? anyway i guess you better break up with him, just tell him something came up, its too complicated right now. blah blah blah. besides i doubt you really love him coz if you really do then you will reason out with your mother why you want this guy to stay in your life. how old are you anyway? if youre still young to have a boyfriend then maybe thats the reason y your mother does not like him. but if your of age and you really like the guy then tell your mom not to worry because its you thats gonna be having a relationship with the guy and not her.

You didn't mention your age but if you are still young as under 20, I would listen to your mom. She doesn't want you to rush into anything. And also, you mentioned that one side of you likes him very much and the other side does not want to be with him.
It doesn't matter how long you are with someone if it is not working out, don't put yourself thru that. I was with my first husband 13 years. We divorced in 2001. Give your life a chance, if part of you doesn't want to be with him then follow your own instincts.

First off, how old are you? If you are 18 tell your mother you appreciate her opinion, but you really like this guy and would like to see where it goes. If you are not 18 I suggest doing as your mother says. Just tell the guy that you made a mistake and you would like to continue to be friends and see what might happen in the future. Go with what your heart is telling you to do, you might p*ss off your mom or you might p*ss of this guy either way if they respect you, they will understand the choice you make.

If you really like him and your Mom has right reasons to reject him, talk to him and ask him if he is ready to change..
If your Mom rejects him for some real grave reason (e.g. Criminal Background, Violent Behaviour, Substance Abuse) then do not even think about him.
If it is for some minor reason...he can improve himself(If he wants to be with you)
