Birth control can be ineffective, or people don't use protection.
Well. First Im 17 and pregnant to my boyfriend of three years... I am not a high school drop out, in stead I have already graduated and began my college education. Teen pregnancy is a stereotype that I do not fit into, yes technically I am a pregnant teen, but i am not ruining my future with my actions...

It happens because teen girls have low self esteem/respect. If they were more confident they would know that they should respect their body and life enough to be in a relationship when the guy respects her, and to be mature with her body and get some birth control.

It happens because people can't keep their legs closed, they are too afraid of fitting in and being cool, then they wind up pregnant. Makes me sick, teens should not be having sex.

teens should not be having sex at all, if you get pregnant, you really need to go to the hospital to get a test......

they want sex so bad they get it and sometimes they end up prenegant and dont want the baby

IT HAPPENS WITH CARELESSNESS OF YOUNGSTERS.THEY DONT USE CONDOMS THAT CAN PREVENT PREGNANCY.
