I am currently writing a book (on page 2) called "The Credit Card Diaries." It is about a girl who is filthy rich in the fashion industry, but hates it. Everyone likes her for her money, and nice people expect her to be a snob. Her older sister is a total brat, so she is supposed to be too. She is spoiled rotten and hates it. She has no choice but to hang out with little clones of her sister. Then her parents try to get her a modeling gig. She refuses and wishes that her family's fashion empire will crumble even though that is impossible. So they send her to live with middle-class friends. She is thankful for normalcy even though she still has 4 limitless credit cards in tow and her enormous designer closet with her. Everyone is out for her attention because she is rich, and she just wants to be accepted. Only one girl will be her actual friend, the daughter of the family she's staying with. So the rich girl decides to put the obssessive fans to use. She is going to break free and

do what she loves, which is photography. The family will shatter, and hate her. She will be a rich girl reject, have her budget pulled, and not have money! It's brilliant. Only issue is that she still has the rich last name. So she has to change it using the money she saved. Now a normal 13 year old, she must adapt to being who she is. Which is HARD. She wants to please everyone like her money did, but can't. Should she be a prep, or an emo.... or an artist? In the end she kind of floats around. And in the last chapter, her sister doesn't get accepted to design school for being "too typical." thus the snob must start all over in middle class and build her way up, just like the main charecter did. Except the younger sister helps her. And I want the last sentence to be: "So, don't be tough on the rich girl with the endless credit cards. She doesn't know any better. Just be thankful you aren't like me and filthy rich." THE END! Would yoy read it? Is it interesting?

This sounds like something I would read. The girl's smart for wanting to be accepted for who she is not what she has.

You want your reader to feel SORRY for the girl with endless credit cards? Read Oliver Twist and Tess of the D'Urbervilles and then live life in the real world for a while and then try to write a book. I don't mean to shoot you down, but I think this is solid advice. Readers have a hard time empathizing with people more fortunate than themselves. I would find a reason for your main character to be ostracized from the wealthy community, and have her credit cards taken away when she is sent to the middle class family so she realizes how good her life was before.
