It's more than likely the mucus plug. It can be passed as early as three to four weeks before a woman goes into labor, or as late as hours before she starts labor.

I passed mine roughly six hours before my water broke when I was 35 weeks along.

There's no need to call your doctor. If she starts having contractions or her water breaks, THEN call your doctor. But the mucus plug is nothing to worry about.

It's very common in the last month of PG for her to have an increase in cervical fluids and have more discharge.

The plug usually looks kind of like blood-tinged snot. It can be lost all at once or in little bits over several days. If labor doesn't start soon, the plug will reform.

If she is not having regular contractions then there is no real reason to call her caregiver.

It could be either. I know with my second, I had alot of discharge the whole way through. It may be part of her plug, but usually that has a bit of blood tinge to it. Even if it was/is her plug, that doesnt mean anything. Alot of times, they can (and do) regereate themselves. I lost mine with my first and still didnt go into labor on my own. I was induced a week later.

It is most likely just discharge. Generally when the plug comes out there is a little pinkish tinge to it. However, just to be safe call the Dr.

It is probably just some discharge, however, I am not a doctor. I would suggest at least calling the doc's office and running it by them. They may ask your wife to come in just to make sure everything is fine.

could be the plug. But that doesn't always mean anything. I passed my plug about 2 weeks before my daughter was born. If her water breaks, go to hospital, if contractions start, call doc. Otherwise, as long as it was clear, I wouldn't worry

It's probably the mucas plug or part of it. Mine did not have any blood in it or look pink at all. No need to see the Dr. at this point, it's normal for it to come out. It doesnt mean labor is just around the corner.

Probably the plug. Call the doctor.

It is normal to find discharge, I had it for years after my first was born. I would check with the Dr. though, you won't know for sure unless she is examined.

Probably just discharge... it gets pretty thick especially at the end of pregnancy. If you are concerned, call her doc to be sure.
