Violence hasn't helped. If we kill 1 terrorist......100 will replace him. Revenge is the main reson why they choose the path of terror. According to human rights research, it only increases acts of terror. Perhaps appeasement, love, compassion, sacrifice can save the world.

Terrorism is a tactic, like sniper fire. You don't beat tactics & you don't beat ideology, certainly not by force. You beat them by changing cultures so they're no longer accepted, and you do that by applying democracy & modern education, as we are TRYING to do now. Love though? Whats the divorce rate now? Appeasement, you actually used that word? Just like Chamberlain to Hitler huh? Compasion & sacrifice are words dear to any soldier's heart. They are the reason we fight for the oppressed - I'd call that fighting out of love, but that's not what you meant huh? Have you thought this thru? Do you understand what happens if we pull back? The alternatives are much much worse & get many times over more people killed than if you just sit quietly & let us do our jobs.

you are only partly right, but i put it to you, that while you are trying to give compassion and love..The hater will take this as weakness and then proceed to kill you..In the name of God and his infinate mercy!..There is no known humane cure for religious fanatisism + hatred..Being kind and loving has been tryed many times and utterly failed..You are trying yo appease a form of madness, religious insanity, It lacks logic reason and compassion..The only emotion is to hate and die for their God!..If you know of a way, i'd be interested to hear it!

Possibly, but it's never been tried. It's a sad fact that America and Britain call themselves Christian countries (especially the Americans) but their methods and philosophies are so far removed from the teachings of Christ that their "Christian" position is totally hypocritical.
