Yes. I know someone who had a surrogate carry her and her husbands baby because she couldn't. She really wanted to breastfeed, and with intervention from her doctor she was able to produce milk before the baby was due. She nursed the baby right when he was born. I dont remember all the steps she went through, but I remember they put her on birth control pills, since they trick your body into thinking it's pregnant. She pumped a lot of milk, and froze it for when the baby was here, I remember her telling me that she didn't produce the same amount of milk a woman who gave birth did, but she was able to breastfeed succesfully.

Though it is not widely known in developed countries, a woman who has never been pregnant may produce milk. Through frequent stimulation of the areolae and nipples, a woman may begin lactating and, therefore, be able to nurse. This ability also enables women who have previously been pregnant to nurse children to whom they did not give birth

The answer is Yes. it can occur in some disease conditions and as a side effect of certain drugs. A hormone called prolactin is responsible for milk production in our body. this prolactin is secreted by the pituitary gland inside the brain. a tumour arising from that called prolactinoma can cause milk secretion from breast. it can also occur as a side effect of antipsychotic drugs and certain anti vomiting drugs. the symptoms of prolactinoma are headache, visual disturbances, missin periods etc. newborns can have milk secretion from their breast as an effect of maternal hormones. if you're having this problem better consult a physician

I have heard stories of women adopting babies and producing milk, but that is after months of HARD work and preparation. And even some who take extra vitamins and milk-producing supplements and pump, still only get a few drops of milk when it is all said and done.

Yes, with stimulation of the breast (expressing milk) & increasing fluids. "Wet nurses" were used in the past with royalty to feed infants when the mother didn't want the inconvenience of breastfeeding. Women who have adopted babies have suscessfully breastfed witout being pregnant.

I don't think they can-when you get pregnant is when your body creates the hormone to let your body to "prepare" for the baby, which in turn creates milk to feed the baby. Otherwise you should contact your doctor, as you may have a hormonal imbalance.

Yes, especially if they have a tumor called a prolactinoma which stimulates milk let down from too much prolactin being produced. (the tumor is not malignant, just troublesome)

Sometimes you can have a infection in your breast that causes discharge..that can be mistaken for milk. If you are worried call a health care provider. A small amount can be normal.

ACtually yes, but it takes alot of nipple playing with if you will. If you have a significant other, have them suck your nipples for an hour a day every day and it will eventually start producing milk.
