I am a 27 yr/old male.
I am only 165lbs.
I lift weights 4 days a week.
I used to run everyday while in the Army.
I average 6 miles/run and try to run at least 5 days a week.

Well it could be 2 things and one you're not going to like at all.

1 you are overusing your muscles
2 you are getting old and you can't recover as fast from the weight lifting.

A lot of weight lifting and high running volume also doesn't go well together at all. So i think it is most likey #1 which is the answer i'm sure you like better. ;)

You could have patellofemoral syndrome, which means that your knee cap does not sit correctly on your knee. I would go see an orthopedic surgeon for evaluation, as if this is the case, then he could perhaps do a simple surgery, or give you a brace and therapy to help with the pain.

You could try try running on grass rather than pavement, or look at insoles, Spenco (http://www.spenco.com/) makes good ones and they are pretty cheap. If you have some medical coverage you could go see a pediatrist. If you have no coverage I'd try the first two low cost suggestions and see how that works for you.

It could be your shoes. I'm a runner, and I start having pain in my lower back when it's time for new shoes. I also found that exercises that strengthen my lower back help me avoid pain. But everybody's different, so I'd say check your pain out with a doctor if you can.

you should probably see a doctor, it could be simply the sneakers you are wearing to run in, or even just where you run.
but i would definitely ask your primary care physician about the pain.

it's possible you have a wrong gait, or you are overweight.
in fact, with that reaction you should switch to swimming.
