Gamestation. There is one in every city. Their consoles (and games) are the cheapest. I got my PS2 there about 4 years ago for £200 but now they are £70-80. Just 4 weeks ago I got a Gamecube for £40. Bloody bargain!

I have seen them in local pawn shops for about $80 here in New Hampshire.
Other than that, they are currently selling for $120 new at Wal-Mart. Watch for the price to drop on the PS2 to about $99 this November when the PS3 comes out.

I have found the best place to buy cheap electronics are the pawn shops. If you get to know the pawn brokers and learn the trends you can get some really nice stuff really cheap.

Regularly check your local newspaper... someone always seems to be selling the item you mentioned. Of course, hit the yard sales, too. Check your Yellow Pages for game stores, like Game Stop or Game X Change.

I'd be careful. I've seen 3 old PS2s pack up, or stop playing certain games. I think it's the DVD drive which goes.
I wouldn't buy one less than 1 year old (if you can tell how old it is).

Gamestation (Sometimes within Blockbuster) do really good deals on preowed PS2's. they also do preowned games for reasonable prices too.

brand new at target, walmart, bestbuy, etc. average price around $129, used or pre-owned at electronics boutique, or any other electronic gaming store for around $70-$80 dollars.
