what should i wear on the first day of school?

im gonna be a freshman
the 9th grade is in the jr high building
most ppl dress up
but we have no ac
i dont wanna dress down but not up eather.
we cannot wear thin straps they have to be 3 fingers wide.
hair ????
down-humidity makes my hair wave and friz
ponytail-classic???
messy bun???

wear a skirt&shirt that looks ahhhdorable. maybe a jean skirt and a polo? whatever looks best. messy bun, def. and get some small heels if youre short, or some regular flip flops if youre shorter. just dress casual; dont wear a dress.

Although I agree with most anti-peer pressure voices answering, I sympathise with u on the 1st impressions so: dress up and act low so they get curious coz u don't want to be cast away and slowly bring down everything(except ur neckline)if u get any flack. Following week, normalise and those with the pressure, will acknowledge that you can be a cloud above than the rest. If you want to. Make ur hair as comfortable and messy as u want to do. Wake up and decide but make sure it's the messy sort that if u take down u can put up again without any hassle. First impressions are not withstanding those of teachers so focus.On work.

Wear your hair in a ponytail, and one of the shirts that are popular now that have very short sleeves, and come way past the waistline. Some girls wear a loose belt over the shirt and a spaghetti strap or tank under the shirt. They are thin t-shirt fabric. I know you know what I mean. Wear some fitted, boot-cut jeans or capris. Just a little mascara and lip gloss. You will look great!

Regardless of what anyone says, the first day of high school is a big deal. You want to fit in and look cute. It is just human nature to be concerned about how you look. I hope you have a great freshman year.

The first day of school can be an exciting time. Most importantly, it's a chance to reinvent yourself!! Whatever you choose to wear, my advice is to take your style and upgrade!! Instead of capri's, go with a neat pair of gouchos. Layers are always trendy too, but you mentioned no AC. Go open toes on the shoes because it's still summer, and definately go with a heel. No not practical, but if you want to knock them dead, go with a heel. And a always trendy look, find a cool graphic tee a great jean and a colorful, open toe shoe, (matching bag not required, find a cool bag with bright colors, coordinate-don't match!) and you'll be ready to go!! As far as the hair, just make sure it's functional. Choose something that will look as good when school lets out as it did when you walked in. Good luck!!!and have fun!

Ok, way too much pressure on yourself.
I can suggest only what has worked for me:
Stand proud with your shoulders back and head high.
Girls don't dress for boys, they dress to compete with other girls. Boys will look at every girl in the world, so don't worry about thinking you can catch the eye of one and he'll only look at you.
The girls that always sstood out to me were the ones that dressed as if they were just going out shopping on a saturday, with jeans, hair pulled back, nice t-shirt, you know, comfy but classy.
Stop the insanity now if you can. it will never end, and you'lll eventually just end up in your house trying to make yourself what you consider to be presentable.
try it once. I am not saying dress like a bum, but I am saying that I believe you'll be noticed the same amount.

I would wear clothes. Its the first day of school, after the first day are you going to dress more normal? why? will people remember you more and like you better because you had something better on for the first day of school?

See, i never got that at all. I just put clothes on and went to school. I had a first day of school usually about two or three times a year, because we moved so much. In my experience first impressions dont mean anything in highschool. Not much means diddly squat in highschool. or any grade for late matter.

Just wear clothes and enjoy having your friends around and getting to know your teachers and schedule.

-Wear a nice mini
-Wear a girly tank top or tee shirt
-Put on high heels,platforms,or any sandals.

And that's a nice look, also try to get a tan the day before school, it looks great and makes you blend in more.

i would wear i messy bun, a mini skirt, and just a cute 3/4 sleave leangth shirt from hollister or areopostel. hope this helps. :D

must suck to still be in the middle school building still. im going to be a high schooler this year too im wearing short shorts and a tight shirt. u should wear that.
