a female or male cat? they have different characters so there is probably a difference in their hunting skills! and also, how old should a cat be, to be able to catch a mouse?

In general I would think that a female cat is better at catching mice because she has to bring home food for her kittens. But maybe it just seems that way to me because the male cats just eat the mice that they catch instead of bringing them home to show the family. Probably it all depends upon the cat itself and there is no radical difference between the two based only upon if one is male and the other is female.

My dog was the best mouser. But I think the female cat because she has a better purpose for the kill. To feed babies.

my female cat has brought more dead things home, my male cat yawns every once in awhile.
