i love all kinds of music but personally i think U2 sucks..i mean they have a couple decent songs but thats it

The reason they remain so popular is because they were the first to play that style of music. They have laid the path for so many bands it is crazy! Without U2 we would not have music as it is today. They are also one of the first bands to put politics into music and show that they can write songs to better the world around them. Without Bono and the boys there would be a lot less music in the world that you do like. Say what you want they are one of the most influential bands ever!!!

They're pretty good. A couple of their songs are alright. But the main thing about U2 that drives me nuts is that almost all their songs sound the same! The background music is very similar in all their old songs and they just sound the same, in general.

The names I hate that for sure a sh**load of mothers and fathers enjoyed are all the names I grew up with that had 5 of each in the lecture room: Jessica, Sarah, Ashley, Britney, Chelsea, Shannon, Stephanie, Liz, Amanda, Abby, Allison, Taylor, Ryan, Jacob, Daniel, etc. i think of once you are going to grant your toddler a typical call, make it one that's no longer so overused, like Edmund, Sebastian, Hector, Penelope, etc. I additionally relatively do no longer in straightforward terms like the call Chloe, even nonetheless it variety of feels rather usual. Gotta respect them for staying together consistently for over 20 years. Their music is enjoyable - not overly extreme in any direction. There is usually a difference in sound from one song to the next on one cd. The band and their music is passionate. While Bono is quite active in issues of world hunger, which does tie him into politics quite a bit....neither he nor his fellow band members get involved in matters of opinion (i.e. gay rights, war vs. no war).

they had some good songs back then, but in general i think their albums in whole is mediocre at best.
