He wrote another book (Dan Brown) Called Deception Point which wasn't as good as the others.
John Connelly wrote a book Called Black Angel That was AMAZING!!!
Simmlar motif with the religious/historical content.

Check out the author David Morrell. He writes some great spy stuff that is in the same style as DaVinci Code. Start with his "trilogy" Brotherhood of the Rose, followed by Fraternity of the Stone and then League of Night and Fog. All 3 were excellent and will keep the pages turning all night.

If you were attracted to the mystery and twists then pick up a book in the mystery section but if you liked Angels and Demons and The Da Vinci Code for the religious aspects then i'd read Inferno by Dante or Paradise Lost by Milton.

read the other 2 ( think) dan brown books
he is a great writer and has a certain style, if u enjoyed those 2, which i did, just finished angels and demons, you'll prolly like his others
