Do you think he /she or it, made the whole world, finished off with Scotland, got tired / fed up but had some stuff left over and decided to make England.
Not trying to insult anyone here, but has anyone noticed that, travelling down from Scotland, passing through the Borders, entering into England, the landscapes just disappear, and the horizon becomes a characterless wasteland!

England was not created as you make out. I always thought that Scots knew the history. If not here it is: Noah's Ark, being overcrowded with all the animals, began to smell a bit high. One of his sons asked Noah 'What do you want us to do with all the crap' (Steady Crowkit - don't get ahead of the story). In any event, all the sons began to clean up the stalls and they ended up with the biggest pile of sh*it you have ever seen on the deck. 'What do you want us to do now' the son asked. 'Throw it overboard' said Noah and they did. And that is how England was born............ Sassanachs , weird folk...........as for London, the only good thing that came out of London, is the Thames - and that's ninety percent pi*ss.................

Funny you should talk about Characterless. You apparently have very little Character and not enough sense to know if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. I'm sure England is a fine country as well as Scotland.

well your view is such because you forget that the industrial revolution first began in england and not in scotland.
secondly that due to industrial revolution a lot of natural resources were used up , hence most of england lost out on some natural sights and scenaries.
no point of characterless comes over here. england still has much beauty under her sleeves to show

Yes, God created the world, and nature has a way of changing all the time, due to movement in the earth's surface, and ifyou really look at flowers and their colors, you Know there is a God who created this world for His pleasure and for ours. Wastelands have a purpose too! Garnet

Are you nuts? England has some beautiful scenery! Ok, no mountains, but some lovely lakes and plenty of hill ranges. The White cliffs of Dover are a fantastic sight. Are you thinking of Lincolnshire and Norfolk. They're flat, but the rest of England is beautiful.
