I am 22 and I now want to be a commercial Airline pilot as there is a lot of shortage of well trained pilots in my country right now. Also I was'nt too good in both Math and Physics in High school but that was because I never studied em much. So do u think it wud possible for me to enroll in a good aviation school and learn flying
well also pass all the theory papers with dignity. I really need to be sure of this coz Pilot courses are quite expensive. Also do Airlines Hire freshers from Aviation schools at 24 or something.

I've got a friend who's working on his liscense (he's 23). Rather than outright enrolling in a commercial aviation school, he got his private pilot's liscense and then the level above that (between private and commercial). He's no math whiz, and he didn't have any problems. He was able to take the classes through a program at a public university in the state, which made tutition more reasonable (although he still had to pay for flight hours). He said he liked doing it this way because he was able to see if he liked flying before making the commitment to become a commercial pilot.

Not at all. There is a huge difference between airliners and fighter jets. Airliners crash at maybe a few hundred miles an hour. Crashing is what the designers had in mind when making such aircraft. That's why they're so reliable. A fighter jet was designed for combat and can move at speeds well over 1400 miles an hour. 80% of a fighter jet is it's engines and armament. A 747 has 4 little pieces that are the engines and fuel tanks in the wings. The rest of the beast is the fuselage for cargo, passengers, crew, avionics, etc. which has been crash tested over, and over, and over, to better protect those inside. That's why fighter pilots have the ability to eject, crash landing would be pure suicide. No fighter aircraft is given anywhere near the amount of safety features that are demanded of a civilian airliner.
