Take a listen to this song. Do you feel the same way as the singer, or do you have different thoughts?

I just thought it would be fun to watch this video and listen to this beautiful song. Most people find it thought-provoking. I'm amazed at some of the answers. WOW.

As the wife of a career Army soldier (18 years now), this is something we face on a regular basis. We never go to bed mad. That's one of the first things we learned. When he deploys, we NEVER say "good bye", instead we say "see you later". Every conversation we have ends with "I love you", whether he's here or away. Also, a couple years ago I was diagnosed with some health issues. I'm the mother of a young child, so I knew that I had to be there for her. Tomorrow always means something to our family. It's not a depressing thought, it's a fact of our lives. We don't dwell on it, but we know what can happen.

I'm disappointed by some of the comments here, but I guess that's how they feel. I just think many thoughts and emotions are lost on the younger generations today. It's a shame. Thanks for sharing the video and allowing others to open up their thoughts on it though.

I almost lost my beloved in 9/11. And then I almost died, and ended up in Health Issue Hell for two years. To this day, we always have to end a conversation with "I love you" or some other sweet phrase, even if we're mad at each other. So I have no problem whatsoever with the concept, none.

Oh, and Garth's the man.

This song reminds me of my step-father. He was a wonderful man...smart, funny, caring, adventurous, good looking, and he loved my mother very much. We got along very well, and shared many laughs together.

But for some reason, I was never able to tell him that I loved him. I think, I thought, that if I did, it would be something against my real dad.

When my step-daddy died, I was a young adult, and it really hurt my heart that I had never told this wonderful man how special he was to me.

My mother, even in her grief, assured me over and over that he knew.

I've had many, many people die in my lifetime, but since he died, I don't hold back my feelings for anybody. They get smiles, and hugs, and plenty of love.

And as a footnote to these crass, shallow, immature, inconsiderate dumbdonkeybuitts, who have answered this question in such unfeeling ways...I pity the moment that you realize someone in your life is gone forever.

My favorite is Silent Running by Mike and the Mechanics. You should listen to it sometime. It fits our times perfectly.
