Using a loose powder is the best. Clinique makes a real good one. Get a big giant brush, just put a little powder on and then tap it on the side, then put it on your whole eye area.
If you put a little powder on at a time rather than a lot at once it will stay looking more natural.
Try to avoid using a concealor that has a thick oily base, it will cause color changes and creases.
Always remember a thin application is best.

I would recommend loose powder if you're doing your makeup in the morning, and blotting papers for touch-ups. I'm not a fan of pressed powder.
I am guessing you're using the pressed powder for touch-ups, and in this case it isn't the powder that makes the concealer change colors, it is the oils on your face that makes the powder change color, which then looks funny over the concealer.

First, your press powder may not be the right color. Second, when using concealer you also have to use a base foundation to blend with the concealer, not just the press powder.

try using a brush to put on your pressed powder, instead of the little pad that comes with it, or use a brush after application to remove the excess powder...also, use an oil free base foundation for best results.
