I personally believe that what we may consider pests came about as a result of the fall from Grace. This is when Adam and Eve committed their first sin which separated them from God and fellowship with Him in the way we first knew Him.

You may not believe in Creationism but it's not as crazy as people claim it is. For pure scientific logic check out the Christian Science Movement. Their reasoning makes better sense than any evolutionary theory (which is all evolution ever was by the way - they have NEVER proven anything!)

he needed man to invent the flyswat and wasn't sure the common housefly would be annoying enough to warrant it. (as it stands we invented it to deal with the housefly anyway, but better safe than sorry eh?)
