Because the library movies are usually much older, and you can see a movie from a video store (or Netflix, or On Demand) within, like, three or four months of its release.

I suppose the renting out place will have a big selection and all the latest stuff. I don't know why people bother though, it's about £5 to rent a new release when you can get it from your library fairly soon (though maybe not on the day of release) or buy a dvd of an older film for £5. I just wait, then if I like the film I can keep it forever and watch as often as I like. But then I'm quite patient and I like lots of older films, I suppose it is worth paying if you want to see the newest films all the time.

The videos in most public libraries are donated by people who dont want those movies anymore, so the selection at the library is going to depend on the tastes of the people donating. You wont get major Hollywood releases, not for years, anyway. Besides I dont go to the library to watch TV I go to find a good book, which is a much better way to pass the time.

I totally agree! I guess it might depend on where you live though, and how good your library system is. Sure, when you go to the library, there may not be any great movies on the shelves, but if your library has a good system for requesting them from other branches, you can make out like a bandit!

If i will't see the action picture interior 2 weeks that it comes out I finally end up both renting it or merely taking a risk and buying the dam aspect on DVD. I have in basic terms been upset once so some distance The manufacturers with Gene Wilder. Wasn't as sturdy as i theory it will be. i will save that in the time of recommendations about the spell examine

I totally see your point, but if you're looking for a lesser known movie or a newer movie, a movie store is much more likely to have it then a library. It still seems silly though, doesn't it?
