It a characther in the game of warcraft.. mostly attributed in warcraft 3... he lives on a throne on top of an ice mountain... basically all his minions are undead.. FOR THE LICH KING!

I believe it's the spirit in the cursed sword Arthas rescued in Warcraft 3. The spirit merged with him, and caused him to kill his father, and destroy Alterac. Then he unleashed the undead plague on the world. I believe Arthas/Lich was eventually defeated by Slyvanas and exiled. He might be one of the bosses in the expansion for WoW coming out. The Lich King is not a boss in the game, yet. So far, AQ boss (don't remember the name, and couldn't spell it even if I did...) is the big guy to down.

I don't play WoW, although I have an older brother who plays with a party who did everything in that game, so I got to see a lot...however, I can't remember correctly if Lich King is the hardest boss in the game, but he showed me a picture of his party taking him down, and that thing looked bloody cool.

If you're refering to WOW it's Ner'zhul (sp?).
