Hezbollah struck first a week ago. Hezbollah is still shooting rockets at Israel.
Like all countries, Israel has the right to defend itself when it is attacked.
It isn't the Lebanese government that Israel is fighting. Israel is fighting the Hezbollah terrorist group that occupies southern Lebanon. The Lebanon government would also like to see Hezbollah go away.

I think they were justified in their retaliation, and I think every nation should take lessons from how Israel is pounding the heck out of Hezbollah. They obviously understand that the only way to stop terrorism is to kill all terrorists.

They have every right to defend themselves.
Israel has been following every rule placed on them as far as Lebanon is concerned. They vacated Lebanon and never went back so how could it be justified that these radicals attacked Israel.

Hezbollah started it by kidnapping 2 Israeli soldiers, so a response was justified, but I think Israel has gone way overboard. How is killing 40+ Lebanese civilians justified for kidnapping two soldiers?

As a Christian, I think it is in our best interests to always be on Israel's side. The Bible says that God will bless those that bless them and curse those who curse them. I want to be on the blessing side!

I too am on the blessing side. Infact I've always been on the blessing side. It's the other side that's cursed.
