Although I don't care even a tiny bit if there are people on Mars or not, there are alot of things that are good for the people on Earth that come out of the space voyages. Something about the fact that there is very little gravity makes it possible for them to do scientific research in space that they cannot do on earth. We also got velcro because of the space program - you just can't benefit mankind more then that!

Yes, if life is found on Mars, it will prove that life is a common occurrence throughout the universe. If it could evolve twice in one solar system, how many times would it evolve in the solar systems of trillions of stars?

Going into space is also an insurance policy that by not having all our eggs in one basket (Earth), humanity will be able to survive a disaster that could destroy our planet (Disease, asteroids etc.).

i guess it has to do with peoples curiosity most of all...if life can be sustained on Mars, then I think they may want to see if they can start building on Mars and the like...it's all so complicated sometimes...space exploration and discovery will always be a huge thing and money will always be spent on it...it is just human nature to want to know what isn't known yet...

Yes people really care, but I am not one of those people. I think space exploration is a waste of money and time.

I care, other life elsewhere could answer tons of questions for the human race and even bring about cures or anything for disease.

I don't care. I wish they would spend those billions of dollars in a wiser way.

I say the same about third world parties. We see our own in need but choose to send to other countries.
