First, check to make sure the arm that checks the ice level in the storage bin is not stuck in the full position. Then check for Ice blockage in the fill tube where it enters the freezer compartment (from the back of fridge you should be able to pull the fill tube straight out to inspect). On the ice cube tray itself, there is a set of "fingers" which rotate and push the cubes out of the tray when the ice has formed. I have seen those fingers get stuck in the cube tray and not finish its revolution, which would cause this symptom. Even if the they aren't stuck in the tray, try applying some downward force on the "fingers" (clockwise rotation) as if you where trying to manually rotate them. you should not be able to rotate them, but the force should start the motor and you will notice them to start to turn. Its not a very fast spin, so be patient and let it do it thing. If after it rotates one complete revolution, it still doesn't fill with new water, then you into either a bad electrical connection at either the ice maker or fill valve, a bad fill valve(where the water first connects to the fridge, usually has blue plastic case) or a bad ice maker(the part inside the freezer). good luck.

Do you have owners manual. It shows where the switch is. If you do not have the manual look for one on line.
Tip: Above the collection try there should be a switch which can swing up and down, it looks like a bent wire(at least on my machine) it stops the maker from making ice when tray is full. You can manually flip this arm to stop the ice maker, if it is flipped for any reason unfurl it.
Hope it is as simple as this.
When all else fails read the manual( should be read first any way).
There should be a chapter/section on trouble suiting. Follow it step by step.
You may have to call a service man-och expensive.

make sure that the switch for the ice is in the proper position, {IE}
attached to the icemaker is a handle, actually a switch, when its in the up position, its off, when its in the down position, its on.
this handle will look like a thick piece of wire, bent into a shape that can judge the level of ice in the bin, as the ice builds higher the handle will rise, finally to a point where it shuts off the water and no more ice can be made and dumped into the bin.

there is a few thing else interior the freezer or refrigerator it is causing the ice to flavor undesirable .i recommend to sparkling your refrigerator and freezer and your ice trays or maker and placed a field of baking soda in both area. The baking soda will take up the odors from the meals so your ice received't also throw away meals that are growing old and or freezer burned and keep meals in air tight boxes on your refrigerator.
