Hello it's normal for eveyone to have trouble finding new friends to establish with. Showing your enthusiam of finding new people which I something that is strongly encourage your automatically my friend.
Here's a list of tips I found very helpful:
1) show people you are interested in what they have to say
2) Ask people open ended questions
3) Find ways to make them talk more then you
4) overcome fear of rejection
5) Be confident
6) Think of thinks you can talk to new people about to break the ice
9) Be nice
10) Help people out if they need it
11) Participate in social occasions
12) If in School: Participate in any many special activities and
extra curricular as possible!
13) I also strongly believe love and forgiveness is important too
14) Develope a sense of humor

Get involved. Find out what you like to do and go and do these activities. Go to church. Get involved there. You will be surprised that you will meet a lot of people there and eventually you might find someone to be friends with.
