...even after there are so many reasons and cultural pressures not to? if so, do you have a reason other than "i'm addicted?"

I smoke now and will continue to smoke. There is nothing that makes leaving work more enjoyable that a nice long drag on a filtered cigarette. Not only that, but it is an incredibly easy way to impres unedrage girls. Especially since I can buy cigarettes for them as well. I like the taste, the feeling, the sense of relaxation that follows, and the way I look with one in my mouth. It is my decision to smoke, and as long as the government continues to make money off of cigarettes, I will continue.

I know you probably wanted reasons from those who DO smoke, but I just had to say I don't smoke. It's just plain disgusting. Every time I pass smokers, I want to be sick and don't mind covering my nose and mouth or letting those idiots know how bothering it they are. I don't get how someone could get addicted to rat poison, thousands of cleaning detergents and such. Or just to look "cool" or if they're "bored". Why not do something constructive and useful? Something that matters? Most people smoke if they have problems, but I always want to say, "Won't smoking that crap give you more problems (skin problems, digestive problems, cancer of all sorts, etc.) ?" What's the point? I'm proud to think I'll never drink except modestly, and never smoke. Thanks for reading! :)

people smoke cigs cause they are followers. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM. they think its cool, they follow older peoples examples, then they get hooked cause they have weak minds and are told they are 'addicted'. know what? F*CK that noise. im sick of people always looking for excuses. man up you pathetic weak minded people, you can't quit cause then you wouldn't know whos example to follow cause we all damn well know you aren't your own person.
