I still like them, but after watching some kind of monster I was weirded out. They were way into their emotions like a bunch a women going through menopause.

I was a big Metalica fan until.

They sued Napster. This to me was hypocrasy at it's finest. The ONLY way Metalica ever made it was through bootleg copies. Metalica was banned from the radio, the big record companies attemtped to kill the entire Metal genre. People like Tipper Gore specifically called Metalica and other Metal groups Satantic and attempted to have them banned completely. It was people who shopped small mail order catalogs of places like Metal Blade records then made copies of the best groups from those labels for everybody who'd listen to them which allowed Metalica to ever suceed. Then they cry about Napster which is to bow to the same record companies which tried so hard to block Metalica's success int he first place. It made me sick and I have not bought another Metalica CD since.

Metalica made this easy by putting out garbage since the Black albumn. I liked early Metalica a great deal. Two of my favs (For whom the bell tolls and Fade to Black) were early Metalica. Kill them all and Ride the Lightning were wicked albumns. Mid Metalica ruled. The peak being the Black Albumn even if some accused them of mellowing with that one. Except for S&M I have not liked a single song released since the Black albumn. I'm pretty disapointed as I WANTED to collect Metalica MP3s just to spite them for thier petty greed. Load and Reload were tired, shapeless songs that had all the heart of a dead orangatan. There was no edge, no interest. Metalica had lost thier love of the music. They just put out CDs because they had too. The latest I think is a prank. They intentionally made music that sucked just to see people lap it up because it had the Metalica name on it.

So old is not a problem. I still love Zep, Sabbath, AC/DC. Good music is good music. I lost my love of Metalica's music though by thier actions. I can still listen to my favorite Metalica CDs. I gave relaod away and will prob trade Load in if I can find a place that will take it. I just don't listen to Metalica much because of what they've done the last five years both musically and economically.
