God, whatever you do DON'T it really stuffs up your PC and is useless. You have to pay every year as well.
I have used Kasperskey for years, if you check out the download sites you can get it for free, and update it as often as you want at no charge - EVER.
This is a Russian Anti Virus Programme and who better than to devise one?

If it's a free virus or any Malware remover that originally should be payed for It's probable Malware itself!!!
75% of the "protection" software on the web is Malware written or (re-configured origional software) by hackers.
If your not getting your protection DIRECTLY from the site that created it you probably have a spy watching you!
And you don't know it!
I Recommend only downloading from the ORIGINAL vendor and paying for it. Or even for FREE software ONLY download form the ORIGINAL manufacturer.
(No I do not work for any. lol)
I trust an use ALL of the following FREE software.
I use all of the following Free software with Windows XP SP2 and Internet Explorer with MSN toolbar and the pop-up blocker turned on and have never had a single problem with my computer sense Microsoft came out with SP2. (knock on wood.) (And be sure to keep Windows and the following software Updated)
The best Anti-virus is: AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition. (www.grisoft.com)
The Best Spyware defense is: SpyBot Search and Destroy (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html)<--English version
AND: AdAware SE (www.lavasoft.com)
AND Spyware Blaster (http://www.javacoolsoftware.info/kb/)
The best Firewall besides the one that comes with Windows is: Zone Alarm (http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/co... or just (www.zonelabs.com) and select the FREE version.
These are all FREE and are all that are required. There is no reason to pay for this kind of software, except to give a donation to the writers if you can.
ALL the above programs are recommended and should be run on a regular basis. With some the free versions they must be run manually.
The best way to avoid getting any Malware (virus, Trojan's, spyware, etc) is to practice safe computing. Microsoft and many others have countless articles on the subject of safe computing. (something I think should be taught in schools)

Norton, at the same time as no longer negative at anti-virus safe practices, is quite bloated, slows your device, and expenses funds. i'd recommend getting a loose anti-virus, like AVG or Antivir. i have used AVG myself for over 5 years now, and not in any respect had a difficulty with viruses.

norton anti virus is NOT free. If you want to get it legally, you'll have to pay for it.
You'de better take avast. That one is free (and it's about as good as norton)

why do u want to use norton antivirus? dont use it because once it is installed to ur computer, it will occupy a lot of memory and cause ur system slow down alot. try to use another one like bit-defender or AVG free. as my experience, i have tried to install many options for anti-virus and spyware etc, i think one good option is Mcafee antivirus+mcafee personal firewall+windows defender. if you have any query contact me

Most shareware sites (like Limewire or Bearshare) will have it, but beware of these hacked versions. Sometimes they don't work correctly.
Best bet is to purchase a new/current version directly from Norton.
Try www.symantec.com
