against ... it's murder ... there are no circumstances where murder is justified ...
and I'm sorry, I don't buy this 'not legislating morality' stuff. If this were the case, then we wouldn't have laws against stealing, rape, murder, etc .... wouldn't all of these laws be considered 'legislating morality' by this logic?

Philosophically, I'm against it completely. But I don't get on my soapbox until after the first trimester. When you start talking about 2nd and even 3rd trimester abortions, then I get mad. There is no way a sane person can say that is not murder.
In the rare cases where the mother's health is truly at risk (and I'm not talking about her "emotional" well-being), then if the family elects for an abortion, so be it. But even then, in the later stages of pregnancy, an "abortion" is not what would be done. It would be either a C-section or induced labor.

I'm pro-choice!
I'm not exactly FOR abortion, I don't think anyone is. Sometimes it's the only option a woman (or couple) has, but I don't know anyone who had one that was FOR it. I've known 4 women who chose to abort, 3 surgically, 1 with the abortion pills, and 1 woman who chose to have a child. Each of these friends have feelings of regret and relief in their decisions, including the single mother.
For those against it, don't do it! Plain and simple.
Anna- no anesthesia? Untrue.

well, It is selfish to have the oppratunity to carry a child and bring him/her into the world, and simply rip that child out of your uterus because you made a mistake. However, I look at it this way, even with the oppratunitaty of adoption, how many of those children would have been mistreated, neglected, or abused? If a person is not responisible enough to prevent pregnancy, how can they be responsible enough to care for a child? (I know even when being safe, things happen.) In the perfect world, all those unwanted childern would be adopted by a good family whom would love them and "want" them. But this world is far from perfect.
It is hard for me to form an opinion when looking at all angles. You must also consider risk to mothers health. In some cases it may be the child or the mom. This mom may have other childern to care for and even if she doen't, who would care for the child after she was gone?
I lost a baby @ 5months. He, yes he. was completely delovped(externally at least). He had tiny hands and feet. He actually had facial features which resembled mine. He was a child, not a misfortune or something to dispose of. I am not sure what the max. amount of months it is for you to abort, BUT I believe any where after 3 months is murder. Before that i don't like either, but once again, circumstances vary.
One thing I can say, Although i am mostly agianst abortion, i cannot stand the abortion protesters. Almost exactly 1 year after I lost my little boy, His name was Jack, My dad suffered from a blood clot and was hospitalized. On my way to the hospital I passed a clinic which preformed abortions at the time (not sure of its status these days) I was distraut because of my father, and the pending anniaversary of the worst day of my life. So here out my car window I see large posters of aborted fetuses VERY GRAFFIC!!! I immeaditly broke out into tears and by the time i reached the hospital, it took a long time for my stepmom to calm me down beofre i could visit my dad. the onlything I was greatful for was that my daughter who was 3 at the time was not in the car to see such a terrible thing.
BTW spell check isnt working, and i am too lazy to check myself, so i am sure there are many misspellings.

Against, life begins at conception, there is never a moment when you aren't/less then human...
It's hard to be raped and then concieve, it's hard to raise a disabled child, but guess what? Life is hard.
Adoption is the best choice, if you don't want a child. Abortion just lets you and your partner off the hook....
Anti abortion laws aren't legislating morality, any more then anti child abuse/muder laws are...

Definitely against. No one should have the right to choose who lives and who dies. And, yes, a baby is a human being at the point of conception. Abortion, therefore, is pure and simply murder.

I am against it!!
Abortion is like murder, it might also be considered a sacrifice to those evil gods due to the spilling of bood.
It's totally inhuman, the baby is innocent and yet people had to kill them
Besides abortion might damage the womb and you might never conceive again so you might as well cherish the baby instead of killing it
