I think a round peg in a square hole would be more comfortable

What are you doing exactly?

My next door neighbor is so stupid that she'd try to put a round peg in a square hole. But I'm pretty sure she'd try to put a square peg in a round hole too. I think the first is worst. Either way, if you want to do either - you're stupid (or a baby just learning).

Theoretically speaking, a round peg would likely fit into a square hole easier. (Unless is was much bigger). If the square peg was small and the round hole was large - it would work the other way around, too.

A round peg in a square hole =D
Personally, I think a square peg/square hole or round peg/round hole configuration works best

That depends on the size of the hole relative to the size of the peg.
Assuming the peg to have approximately the same area as the hole and assuming that you want the peg to remain fast, I would go with the square peg.
