I think you feel quilty about thinking about getting another dog. The other dog, the one that died, is not going to be mad at you if you get another dog, he's gone and he'd want you to be happy. The dream is more about what you feel...not what he feels. You miss him terribly and even loved him. Deep down you feel bad about thinking about getting another dog and maybe even subconsciously think the new dog would be replacing him...but it wouldn't be replacing him at all. You should wait a little while longer...until the hurt of his death goes down a little bit....if you get another dog right now you may end up shunning it out of quilt and you don't want that. A dog's death is like the death of a close friend, even a relative, and you need to talk it out...and you need to cry. Yes, it is okay to cry over the loss of a pet...because it is the loss of a loved one. Only then will you truly be ready for another dog.

I dont think he will really be mad. It WAS just a dream if you want to get another dog get one. The one that passed will be happy for you if you are happy for yourself. Just remember that this is a different dog not the one that passed but if your ready for it go for it.
