I asked this question, because my 20 yr. old Grand Daughter asked me. She saw it somewhere and they polled the people on it. Most people said they'd rather be hit. Because of the guilt.

That depends on what kind of car the other one is. I drive an F 250 Super Duty Crew Cab. I would not want to hit a small car or truck with it, because someone would probably be killed. Even if it wasn't my fault, I wouldn't want to live with that for the rest of my life.
So if it's a small car or truck, let them hit me.
But it it's a Hummer or one of those insanely huge SUVs, I guess I'd rather have the upper hand.
I may have missed the point. I was answering as if it's my vehicle versus someone else's vehicle.
If it's just getting mowed down- then sorry, I'd rather live with guilt than die.

Niether really but if I had to choose then I'd rather be hit by a car that rode up onto the pavement. Obviously I'd like to survive and only recieve relatively minor injuries (I suppose I could put up with a couple of broken bones) so then I could sue the driver for dangerous driving and reckless endangerment of human life.

I'd rather be hit by somebody- then I wouldn't have to live with the guilt of knowing I hurt someone else.

With only this given, I think I would rather do the hitting. And this is with the understanding that it is going to happen and I have no choice except to hit or get hit.

depends..id rather hit someone else if they did not die..if they were to die..id rather be hit cause i dont know if i could handle that guilt, even if it was an accident

neither because i don't want to be hit by a car and go in the hospital and don't want to hit someone else with mine because i can go to jail or court for that which i do not have the money for so NEITHER...................................
