It always depends on the person and their own body chemistry. I can tell you my experience with it. It made me severely depressed after taking it for only 3 days! I couldn't stop crying for no reason. I had to go on anti-depressants. I switched to ortho-cyclen and have no problems. On the other hand my cousin tried it and had no problems with it. If you have ever been on other birth control you can determine if Yas would be right for you. For ex. yaz is a low dose hormone pill, have you taken those before? I had and always had problems with them, that's why I am on a higher dose and doing fine. Look at your history before you decide.

It depends upon you and your partner. Use two forms of birth control if you do not want to become pregnant. Condoms are an excellent choice as they do guard against STD/HIV however they are not perfect. They can break, and they can be cumbersome in the moment. Birth control pills are great, but if you can't remember to take them everyday and at the same time they also have a failure rate. There are websites like at Planned Parenthood that discuss pros and cons of each one... check it out and then be honest with yourself and your partner and talk to a providor.

Abstaining from sex is the best birth control. And that's the best thing if you aren't married. You should wait until the wedding night to have sex for the first time. Believe me, you will not regret it.
