I followed my gut instinct by trusting someone who I only knew from the internet and what he told me. I trusted him more than I ever trusted someone before - and I only knew him for two weeks.
And I normally am terribly overanxious. With him - it was different. I trusted him that much that I got frightened because of the missing fear (sounds stupid, but I felt like my inner "alarm device" was broken because I trusted a person that I had never met before!!!)
And I was lucky because that gut instinct was right. It could have gone bad for me, but I was right to trust him. He is the best man in the world :-)
We're together now for over a year :-))) And later, he said, that he was glad that I didn't meet any more people from the internet - because he considered my behaviour a bit reckless. And he was right. I was very lucky that it was him and not someone bad who could have done terrible things to me.

I usually get into trouble when I DON'T follow my gut instinct. Over the years, I've learned this the hard way. Always follow your gut.

I have had both god and bad reesults from following my "gut" instinct. When it worked out it was great when it was bad..it was one big crap sandwich but imanaged to surive it. The worse regret i think a person is the "what if " regret.so i try to make the best decision with all the available information. sometimes it pays off sometimes you end up looking stupid.but its better than sitting and watch life pass you by.

I not at all persist with my gut instinct on objective (i.e. as quickly as I do, that's barely via twist of fate). instinct is an evolutionary carry-over from lesser stepped forward animals. We, as human beings, could make our judgements in accordance with reason (suggestions) and not via illogical thoughts (gut). that's that this "gut-questioning" that motives in any different case respected persons to lie to an entire continent concerning to the effectiveness of condoms in reducing AIDS, via fact an previous e book instructed them that beginning administration is undesirable (the pope), to have self assurance politicians (Republican and Democratic) who tell them that if the government became into much less in contact in the monetary gadget, that the money concentrating in the palms of a few wealthy human beings will by some capacity trickle-right down to them, and to vote for a individual for President on account that they had rather drink a lager with him than along with his opponent (i.e. 2004 election), and not despite if or no longer his opponent might serve his u . s . as president in a miles greater effective way.
