Most "right to life" people believe that life begins at conception and ends at birth. After that, they could care less.

Four and a half years ago, my father lost his battle with Lou Gehrig's Disease. I am in favor of stem cell research because I believe stem cells were his (and millions of others) last hope. Never mind that the cells that would be used are discarded by fertility clinics every day. Never mind that every day the federal government withholds the funding that could lead to a cure for the disease that destroyed my fathers life. No one can take away our hope for a cure that, although too late for my father, may save countless other lives.

So, over the next year, 20,000 blastocycts will be thrown in the trash because Bust is too ignorant to allow researchers to use them.

The hypocrisy is laughable if only it didn't hurt so damn much.

Do you know what stem cell research is? People throw the term around, yet have little clue what it is or what's involved. We know it has some great medical benefits, but the downside and arguments against it, get no press.

California passed a billed last year just because it had "something" to do with stem cell research. Most CA voters didn't care that $20 million CA tax dollars know fund stem cell research in OH, with no patent sharing and no required repayment even if OH companies make billions. Way to look at the big picture CA... a better stem cell funding bill could've been written.

Now you all know that Bush is simple minded. If the Religious Right considers abortion murder but killing Iraqis as collateral damage and solders dieing 'a must for his noble cause' then so does he. He does NOT have a mind of his own. That is obvious from the his off-the-cuff remark to Tony Blair about a very serious war and the fact that can't speak without the aid of a teleprompter.

Hmmm, seems he thinks more about a bunch of unformed cells than he does about real children. It's not just Iraqi children, it's the children who are being born with diseases which cause them to have short, painful lives and who could be helped with stem cell research - that's who he should be thinking of. GET A LIFE, BUSH! Moron.

i'm sorry if it's just me, but if old pressie bush is so concerned about being against murder and death, then why doesn't he give his troops a break and take them out of Iraq, it's because he's left his troops on the battlefield that they are dying, what do they actually do there? apart from patrolling the streets and then winding up in a ditch with their a r s e on the other side of the road due to a bomb, what an idiot, sad but true, Agree?

"The president is not going to get on the slippery slope of taking something living and making it dead for the purposes of scientific research," said Snow.

Apparently, curing Alzheimers and cancer are not worth "murdering" a few unborn cells for, but Halliburton and Lockheed-Martin and Raytheon are. As a matter of fact, it's perfectly fine to kill thousands of born fetuses from one day old to a hundred years old every month for forty months straight. No problems sleeping at night with that, huh, George?

Unlike Barbara Bush, my mama didn't raise any idiots.

George Bush Junior has none of the human qualities of his father. He has been bred and brought up by Mom!
He has no idea of what a president is expected to do and think. He has no real expereince of the world Just Texas and its meat market. Let us pray he goes asap and life may then get back to normal. yes, how many deaths in the meantime?

The only people killing Iraqi's are the insurgents who are trying to start a civil war. Suni's are killing Shiites. Coalition forces do not send suicide car bombers into crowded markets and launch mortar attacks into Shiite neighborhoods. Nor do they bomb Shiite Mosques. Get real.

Yup. Humans have an inordinate ability to ignore facts that are figuratively slapping them in the face don't they? Amazing.
