No! It was a childish thing for Zidane to do! Zidane should of been a real man and let his playing do the headbutting! Trash talking is a part of any sport and Zidane knows this. Any time something doesn't go his way he loses his temper it's not uncommon for that idiot!

I dont think Zidanes act was right! Materatzzi did not do anything to the man... first of all Zidane is just making up the story that Materatzzi insulted his mother and sister...Materatzzi lost his mom when he was 15..i dont think he would have said anything about Zidanes mom nor would he have said anything about his sister...and second of all....THEY SPEAK TOTALLY DIFFERENT LANGUAGES! Maybe Zidane misinterpreted what Materatzzi said..has anyone ever thought of that!!?? i say Materatzzi is innocent...i think Zidane DESERVED that red card!

No , Zidane's act was wrong... It may have been due to human fall-ability. Due to Materrazzi's provocation Zidane lost it .It can happen to anyone . but a player of zidane's calibre n experience must have taken in his stride n should not have head butted Materrazzi . Saying this i also say Materrazzi actions were also wrong .. This has set a wrong precedent and Gen-Next footballers should refrain to emulate the action of either Zidane or Matterrazzi.

Both zidane and materazzi acting is wrong, but a man who a has an experiance like zidane should not do like that,he should know that the wc is above anything,he is a big player and a captian for a big team like france, and with these bad actions we will not forget him.

Yes, I do. He was standing up for himself and for football.

He is a real man and a real footballer.

If FIFA and referees had as much courage and integrity and brilliance as Zidane, Planet Football would be a better, more beautiful place...

He's not right. And he wasn't provocated by Materazzi. He has bad temper. Zidane is just looser

Right? No
He said he is sorry but doesn't regret it because he was insulted badly! I love him, but I cant find a way to justify what he did... It is wrong... Many people were watching including kids and fans from all over. Whatever happened to good sportsmanship!?

This question is played out.
Right maybe not but he was justified. Given the situation I would have done the same only I would have reacted sooner.
