Doesn't China interfere in world affairs? What about our "dear friends" the Russians? Add to this the French, Iranians, Brits, Germans, Syrians and so on. They all do. America may seem to be the dominant player, however, America doesn't always get its way. America and Israel were attacked and both are fighting back. This is the only way to eliminate the terrorists. Many of the other countries don't care at this time but their day will come and then they will rise to the fight. I hope it will not be too late for them.

America has a large land mass, huge population and a strident economy, but it is all the other countries of the world who meekly stand by and allow America in the shape ( for the moment) of George Bush to think ,act and speak for them. People get the government they deserve.Maybe we should all start being a little less " Me" culture and a little more attuned to the pulse of world politics.
By the way what do you make of a country that votes in the tallest guy each time? Check old footage of candidates at joint press question times if you don't believe me. When Clinton was in a close height race he changed his hairstyle.... now that is someone tuned into the pulse of America....!

The USA have a prominent seat on the Security Council and is frequently opposed by China and Russia, taking over the seat from the USSR, which decision is arguable. However, he needs to to ensure the zionist vote is with the US President and he has never voted against Israel despite the fact that they ignore UN Resolutions.from 1946 when they said the State was created.
The tax payer of the USA gives the President the right to interfere. When the tax payer votes for a different type of President we shall all benefit.

Agree with Drazir, Churchill knew that unless the USA joined WW2, The British Empire would probably not be able to win. The likely outcome would be cessation of hosilities with most of Europe in Nazi hands and the cold war starting on the English Channel. Once WW2 ended Britain was bankrupt and could not afford to reassert its dominance. Whereas America came out of the war with a huge military and as the dominant nation. Look through history and you will find the pattern repeated often

The United States of America. He is the President and one of his many responsibilities include dealing with world affairs. In addition, other people elected and appointed to positions in government are responsible/deal with world affairs. Governments make decisions and if those decisions effect other nations, sometimes there needs to be an intervention. Solving problems diplomatically is the job of Government leaders. When the tsunami hit, Bush interfered and pledge millions in US$, Aids/disease in Africa: Bush sends medicine, fighting around the world, America wants to help. There are always problems and as long as the US has the ability to help, we'll do our best. Sometimes our intentions appear selfish, but we need to protect our interests so we can continue to fund the help.

The most over-funded army in the world, the fact that domestically his power is in fact not that powerful (Congress holds the power domestically) and so needs to make up for it in other ways, stupid fundamentalist zeal, and the fact that fools like to folly.
Note that because Bush's power is tied by congress in some ways Tony Blair is in fact more powerful.
And no George Bush is not a mixture of Devilry or Hitler, he is more a figurehead and a puppet. If the Devil were to exist he would have been working in entertainment.

He's American. Somehow Americans have this idea that they are far superior than the rest of the world and that the world can't cope without their interference.
I was oncel asked by an American whether I speak American. Really?????? There is life outside America and non americans can cope quite well without interference from high and might Bush.

Dubya's policies are not new :-
“Naturally the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.”
